Introduction of various kinds of cyclodextrin and their chemical modifications

Above various cyclodextrins of alpha, beta, gamma were developed by Wacker, which were manufactured with enzyme which generates various compounds from starch selectively in good purity. The structure of CD is oligosaccharide which is made from a bound ring of 6 to 8 glucoses (glucose sugar). The inner part of cavity is a hydrophobic tube, so various moleculars enter relatively stably, which generates inclusion function, the major characteristics of cyclodextrin. alpha and beta include 1 benzene, but gamma is big enough to include 2 benzenes.
